The ACT Government Budget is a move in the right direction, recognising that health is more than acute service delivery. We need the health of our community to be included across all government policies. 

We are generally supportive of the provision of additional funds for community and hospital services in line with growth so that more people can access surgery and other treatments and services they need.  

We are very pleased to see that the commitment to health infrastructure is continuing, with the funds allocated for building at the Canberra Hospital. 

It is pleasing to see that the Government has taken a more broad approach to health by funding preventative health initiatives such as obesity reduction and healthy cities program.
